The official AIOU mobile app lets you submit assignments, view marks, access course books, and check your academic schedule on Android and iOS. Download free from Google Play or the App Store. Login with your AIOU student roll number and CNIC.
How to Download & Set Up the AIOU App
Works on Android 6.0+ and iOS 13+. The app is free to install.
Open Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS). Search for 'AIOU' or 'Allama Iqbal Open University'. Select the official app by Allama Iqbal Open University.
Tap Install or Get. Allow storage and notification permissions when prompted — storage is required for assignment uploads, notifications for deadline reminders.
Username: your AIOU student roll number. Password: your CNIC without dashes (default) — e.g., 3520112345671. If you changed your password on lms.aiou.edu.pk, use that instead.
Tap 'My Courses' to see enrolled courses. Use the Assignments section to upload assignment PDFs. Always screenshot the confirmation screen after submission as proof.

AIOU App Troubleshooting — Common Problems & Fixes
App shows 'Invalid Credentials'
Use your full Student ID (roll number) as the username. The password is usually your CNIC number (without dashes) for first-time login. Reset via the LMS web portal at lms.aiou.edu.pk if still locked.
Assignment submission gives an error
Convert your assignment file to PDF before uploading. File size must be under 5–10 MB. Use the web version (lms.aiou.edu.pk) as a fallback if the app fails on deadline day — the LMS is more reliable under peak load.
App loads blank screen or crashes
Force-close and reopen. If the issue persists, clear the app cache from your phone settings, or uninstall and reinstall. Ensure your phone OS is up to date — the AIOU app requires Android 6.0+ or iOS 13+.
Results or marks not showing
Results are populated by AIOU centrally. If your result is officially announced on aiou.edu.pk but not visible in the app, wait 24–48 hours for syncing. Check results.aiou.edu.pk for a direct fallback.
App extremely slow near deadlines
AIOU servers experience extreme load in the last 48 hours before an assignment deadline. Submit at least 5 days early. Use the web version during peak times, or attempt the app at off-peak hours (early morning, late night).
